Best Figurines For Children
Here is one that may be a little hard to hear for some folks. All kids love dolls. The machismo in this society has come up with a neat name for doll like figurines for boys, the “Action Figure“.
That being said, the ideal figurine to buy a child is one they will actually play with. Different kids have different needs and a different idea of what is fun.
Little girls love any of the Disney characters, but the princesses win hands down. They are also quite fond of the figurines from the “Tinker Bell” collection.
The ” teen age mutant ninja turtles” and the “G.I. Joe is also a very popular toy with kids right now. A lot of older children are now into collecting the anime figurines like Yughio and Gundams.
For children in the preschool age range the best figures are those that have a purpose. Some figures are designed to help with manual dexterity and eye hand coordination. Jim Hensons’ “Dinosaur train” collection has been a long awaited addition to the line up of toys that younger children just adore. The new figurines are tough, realistic looking and affordable.
Superheroes are making up the bulk of the figurines being sold today. Children of all ages are begging for the likes of Iron man, Spiderman and Batman. The new breed of action figure comes with all types of accessories. With Iron man and Batman you have the movies that inspire most of the line. The child will want the bat mobile and the retractable cape. The Batman figure has been designed to look remarkably like the actor who portrayed the character in the series of movies.
The new Iron Man Mark III has total articulation and this makes this figure very popular. It even has its own Missile Launcher. The armor is of a sleeker design than the previous version. Kids can spend hours playing make believe with Tony Stark and friends.
The movies also have spawned new life into an old favorite, the transformers. You can get the adorable “bumble bee” as well as the evil “Megatron”. These may not be the most educational toys and figures on the market but they are the most popular.
Children will play with almost anything you buy them especially if they have a storyline already built in. If you were planning to buy figures for your child to start a collection it would best to buy two of everything. Once it has been taken out of the box and used as a toy it will loose possible future value.
