Male military personnel are known as “manly men.” They are the rough, tough, unflappable, unbeatable soldiers. When it comes to a romantic, soft, feminine holiday such as Valentine’s Day, it can be difficult to know what to get for your guy. Here are some ideas for a masculine gift and fun card for your military guy.
A towel with their military branch or camouflage on it is a practical and fun gift. The card caption can read “you shower me with love” or “without you I’d be all wet”. If you are creative, try coming up with your own funny or meaningful phrase. Or if you are more daring you can include a coupon with the towel for a shower for two with a promise to wash him.
“A hundred ounces would be too few; to carry all my love for you.” This card saying would be the perfect addition to a beer stein, coffee mug, or traveling mug for your guy. There are hundreds of available military mugs with all sorts of captions or images on them. If your guy likes a particular kind of coffee, tea, or candy, consider filling the mug for him as well.
A zippo lighter engraved with the image or motto of his military branch is another possible idea.
Of course the card caption that accompanies would be something like, “You light up my life” or “You make my heart glow.” Even non-smokers enjoy having a lighter on hand for campfires or grilling.
A watch is another classic, yet useful gift. “No matter what time it is, I am loving you” or “I will love you until the end of time.” Imagine how your guy will remember you every time he looks at his watch. If he must be away from you for a while, this idea makes perfect sense: “Counting the hours until we’re together again.”
Or perhaps a vintage military poster such as the memorable Uncle Sam’s “I want you” poster would suit your man better. The note accompanying this gift could be provocative: “I want you…in bed” or sweet, “No picture could ever show my love for you.”
There are bullet key chains that would suit a military man very well if you decide to go that route. “I would take a bullet for you” or “You hold the keys to my heart” are two ideas for the card saying.
